Ludacris – “Speak Into The Mic” [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

May 10, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

Ludacris tells his women to "Speak Into The Mic" on the fourth installment of his #IDGAFFridays series. Don't expect any karaoke talk on this Mike Will Made It produced jam, though. Gentleman's club friendly claps and drums should give listeners an idea of what the Atlanta native means.

"Check one, two. Speak in the microphone," chants Luda on a chorus that's backed by reaffirmations that "practice makes perfect." Hear the track for yourself below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Ludacris ft. French Montana & Que – “9 Times Out Of 10″ [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

May 3, 2013 in News by Alvin aqua Blanco (@aqua174)

Ludacris continues his weekly new music drop with "9 Times Out Of 10," featuring French Montana and Que.

Metro hooks up a brooding, creeping groove for Luda to spend time rhyming about his prowess with all the harlots in his "hol0dex."  Heavy use of of Auto-Tune on the hook by Que, but we're guessing Future wasn't available? Typical French Montana verse that doesn't really follow the topic, though.

The song will be appearing on Luda's forthcoming, DTP Presents: I Don't Give A F-ck' - The Mixtape project. The song comes in as third installment of hthe Atlanta rapper's #IDGAFFridays series. The first was "Raised In The South," featuring Young Jeezy, followed by "If I Ain't F-cked" last week.

Ludacris will be on the big screen on May 24 when Fast and Furious 6 hits movie theaters. As for his next proper album, Ludaversal, is due out later this year. Listen to, and download, "9 Times Out Of 10" below.

Ludacris – “If I Ain’t F-cked Up” [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

April 26, 2013 in News by Alvin aqua Blanco (@aqua174)

Don't think that because he is an accomplished actor that Ludacris is cool on the music industry. The Atlanta rapper drops a new cut called "If I Ain't F-cked Up."

Over bass heavy instrumental hooked up Metro, Luda lyrically recounts how drinking people under the table can be a way of life. "I been drinking all night, if I ain't f-cked up I don't feel right," goes the song's chorus.

The song will be appearing on Luda's forthcoming, DTP Presents: I Don't Give A F-ck' - The Mixtape project. The tune is also the second installment of his #IDGAFFridays series. The first was "Raised In The South," featuring Young Jeezy, which dropped last week. On the film side, the latest movie he appears in, Fast and Furious 6, is out May 24.

The "Southern Hospitality" rapper's next proper album, Ludaversal, is due out later this year. Listen to "If I Ain't F-cked Up" below.

Ludacris ft. Young Jeezy – “Raised In The South” [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

April 19, 2013 in News by Alvin aqua Blanco (@aqua174)

Ludacris has never really gotten his proper due. So maybe that's why he sounds so aggressive on "Raised In The South," featuring trap rapper extraordinaire Young Jeezy

"Keep my name out you motherf-cking mouth," goes the song's hook. The track's dank, synth filled and drum littered instrumental is hooked up by producer Metro.

The Snowman murked this one, but Ludacris, last seen dropping bars in Justin Bieber's "All Around The World" video, makes sure he doesn't get outshined thanks to his closing verse. "These ni--as is is sweeter than a sweet potato, softer than Playdough/Ol' b-tch ni-gga lay low/A-town by the way of Illinois and are blocks come together like Legos, they know," barks Ludacris.

The song is off the Atlanta rapper and actor's forthcoming I Don't Give A F-ck mixtape, dropping sooner than later.

Jermaine Dupri, Jay-Z, Usher, & More At So So Def’s Concert After-Party [PHOTOS]

February 25, 2013 in News by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz)

This past weekend, Jermaine Dupri celebrated the 20th anniversary of So So Def Records in Atlanta with a landmark concert at the Fox Theater.

The amazing concert featured guest appearances from the labels luminaries including Bow Wow, Da Brat, Bone Crusher, Dem Franchise Boyz and more. However, JD flexed his muscle by bringing out the likes of Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Usher, Nelly, Young Jeezy and many more.

After the show, the night's biggest stars all hit up the legendary Compound Nightclub in Atlanta to party hard into the night. Aside from the aforementioned Hova, Usher, Luda, Snowman, and JD; Big Boi, Monica, Lil Jon, Scooter Braun, Kevin Liles, Shawn Pecas, Memphis Bleek and many more also joined the after-party festivities.

The weekend served as a reminder to people just how influential the multi-platinum producer was in the past two decades in providing the best in urban music. From Hip-Hop to R&B, JD still has a whole lot of clout and muscle to flex in this music business.

The Stars Come Out For Michael Jordan’s 50th Birthday Party [PHOTOS]

February 18, 2013 in News by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz)

Although the NBA All-Star Game brought athletes and entertainers worldwide down to Houston, it all seemed to be overshadowed by the 50th birthday of the great Michael Jordan.

Stars turned out in droves not only to celebrate the new Air Jordan 28's, but to celebrate with the greatest basketball player of all-time, who turned 50 years old on Sunday. All of your favorite celebrities understandably turned in to full-blown stans as they were greeted by His Airness at the Houston Museum Of Fine Arts.

Jordan Brand athletes like Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Carmelo Anthony, Andre Ward, Andre Johnson, Michael Crabtree, Maya Moore, Russell Westbrook, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and more were in the house to celebrate with the G.O.A.T.

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant joined Victor Cruz, James Harden, Nas, Wale, Stalley, Trey Songz, Ludacris, Trae The Truth, DJ Clue, R.Kelly and many more were all in the house to celebrate the indelible legacy of the six-time NBA Champion.

DJ Scream ft. Future, Wale & Ludacris – “Cee-Lo” [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

January 24, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas

Let's preface this by saying Future has the chorus game on smash. Wether you understand what the man says or not, the Atlanta MC has the recipe for hit records. Cite Lil Wayne's "Good Kush & Alcohol" as the latest sign of proof. And he scores big yet again on "Cee-Lo," the first single from DJ Scream's forthcoming album Long Live The Hustle.

Future isn't solely responsible for the track's hit potential, though. In fact, "Cee-Lo" is far from a one man show since it also features Wale and Ludacris. Each rapper does the song proper justice, but it's Chris Bridges who anchors the record with one of his best verses in recent memory. The bars are complimented with a beat layered with synths and knocking drums, courtesy of producer 808 Mafia.

Long Live The Hustle will see its proper release some time this year on the Maybach Music Group imprint, where the Scream serves as the label's resident DJ. The project has been a long time coming, considering that we heard "Hood Rich Anthem" last year.

Stream and download "Cee-Lo" below.
