Fine Chyna: 10 Awkward Moments From Foxy Brown’s Interview On The Combat Jack Show [PHOTOS]

June 7, 2013 in News by Latifah Muhammad (@TheLatifah)

Foxy Brown's chapter in Hip-Hop history isn't up for debate. The "Ill Na Na" ushered in a new era of chocolate beauty, raunchy raps, sky-high heels, and low-cut shirts; paving the way for Nicki Minaj's daring outfits and gratuitous body shots

She was similar to, yet nothing like, her rival Lil Kim and equally as important in the story of female rap. But it's been a bumpy ride, to say the least.

In the years since her debut, Brown's had trouble taming her temper, served time in jail, and lost her hearing. With so many things to discuss, her appearance on the latest episode of The Combat Jack show was packed to the brim with content—and extremely, extremely awkward.

For over an hour Brown broke down, perked up, laughed, and stuttered through the revealing interview.

We don't know what was going on, nor are we inferring anything in particular, just pointing out a few hard to swallow moments.

Get into them below.

Lil Kim & Tiffany Foxx – “Jay-Z” [VIDEO]

April 29, 2013 in News by Hip-Hop Wired

Lil Kim and her St. Louis representing protege, Tiffany Foxx, drop a video for "Jay-Z."

It had been so long (late January) since we saw this clip's behind the scenes photos, that we almost forgot about it. Now we get to see this duo stunt at the club, in the boardroom and in multiple exotic cars like a Rolls Royce and a Maybach. Also, VH1 Mob Wive's star Carla Facciolo makes an appearance in the clip. Look out for the Chi Ali cameo, too.

The song will be appearing on Foxx's forthcoming Yellow Tape project. Watch the Picture Perfect-directed video for "Jay-Z" below.

Lil Kim Performs At Gramercy Theater In NYC [VIDEO]

April 29, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

At one time Lil Kim reigned supreme as the top femcee on the Hip-Hop totem pole. While times have certainly changed since then, Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s head lady can still draw a crowd, as was the case at New York City's Gramercy Theater Friday.

A packed venue recited lyrics to a set of classics by the Queen Bee as she paraded the stage in a skin tight red-lace jumpsuit that somehow managed to be less racy than many of her memorable ensembles in past years.

Kim sang praises of her fans via Twitter, tweeting "Thank you to everyone who came out to the Gramercy Theater last night :) :) !!!!!! Y'all kept it #1hunnit."

Rumor has it, Kim is currently prepping a follow up to her 2005 LP The Naked Truth. She hinted that the project would be the official sequel to her 1996 debut Hardcore, and will be titled Hard Core 2: All Hail the Queen. See Kim perform hits like  "Magic Stick," "Drugs," and "All About the Benjamins" in the footage below and on the next page.

Tiffany Foxx ft. Lil Kim – “Twisted” [VIDEO]

March 7, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

It isn't unusual for a good artist to have been a great protégé first. Tiffany Foxx hopes to flourish from that formula, and today the up-and-comer releases visuals for a track, titled "Twisted," featuring mentor Lil Kim. In the video, the two female rappers hit a Los Angeles villa with a host of celebrities, including Miley Cirus and Elle Varner, for a festive shindig.

"Yeah, the money keep on flowin/ It's stackin' up so high my n***a, we can barely throw it/ Bottle after bottle, baby we can barely pour it/ We taking that Rosé and then we mix it with that Moet/ Now we twis-ted," spits the St. Louis native on the chorus.

From there, Foxx and Lil Kim rap about reaching that level of inebriation where things around you start moving a little too fast. Drunkenness is one thing, because we've all been there (if you are over 21, right?). That doesn't let the once prominent Queen B off the hook for this suspect verse, though.

"Twisted" appears on Foxx's project, Yellow Tape, not to be confused with Dom Kennedy's 2012 project, The Yellow Album.

Lil Kim Shoots Video With Tiffany Foxx Called “Jay-Z” With Mob Wives Carla Facciolo & Tony Testa [PHOTOS]

January 23, 2013 in News by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz)

Lil Kim was in Queens this past weekend to shoot a video for a song called "Jay-Z." Yeah, we made the same face.

This video was shot at Club Glazz in Queens and the not-yet-released song is supposed to have plenty of mafia ties to it. The song is reportedly for her protégée, Tiffany Foxx. The song, which pays homage to Jay-Z, appeared on her  debut solo mixtape Yellow Tape.

Kim, whose played up her mafia persona for years by hanging with Mob Wives' Drita DaVanzo, surprised little by tapping  Tony Testa and Mob Wives' Carla Facciolo in the video. Testa's Uncle, Joseph Carmine Testa, was convicted of being the head of the Gambino crime family.

According to AllHipHop, French Montana was also on the set of the video even though he wasn't pictured. They also report that Testa and Lil Kim also developed a friendly relationship in 2006, while she was incarcerated in a federal detention center for almost a year in a Philadelphia prison, for perjury.

We know Lil Kim and Jay-Z were friendly back in the day, especially on classic records like "Big Momma Thing," but don't be surprised if Hova asks for a check once this video hits the airwaves.

After the jump, check out the stills from the video.
