Cam’ron – “Golden Friends” [LISTEN]

May 12, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

The phrase "Killa season has returned" should sound like music to the ears of Cam'ron fans. The same can be said for Killa's new track about the value of genuine friendship, "Golden Friends."

A classic 70s song in Andrew Gold's "Thank You For Being a Friend" gets sampled in classic Dipset fashion. With all of that love in the air, it only made sense for the Harlem rapper to shout out seemingly everyone that's looked out for him in and outside of the music industry.

Cam isn't straight spitting like he was on "Valley Of Kings," but "Golden Friends" should suffice if Hip-Hop is indeed back in "Killa Season." Listen to the cut below.

BSBD & SAS ft. Cam’ron & N.O.R.E. – “Valley of Kings” [LISTEN]

May 8, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

Cam'ron drops the best verse we've heard since his return on a new track titled "Valley of Kings" by production duo Blue Sky Black Death (BSBD) and former Roc-A-Fella act SAS.

The Harlem native uses a flow reminiscent to many on his 2004 LP Purple Haze, while fellow New Yorker N.O.R.E. provides a chorus that brags about the luxury of spending foreign currencies. "Valley of Kings" will appear on a forthcoming collaborative project from BSBD and SAS called Celestial. Hear Killa go in on the hypnotic beat below.

Funkmaster Flex Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? Tracklist

April 10, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

Funkmaster Flex has been slowly prepping a hilariously titled mixtape Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself?, which you'll have a chance to hear in full Wednesday, April 17. The project was spearheaded by previous leaks like Chris Brown and Problem's "Let the Blunt Go" and "Don't Make Me Do It," featuring Vado, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, and Ace Hood.

The kicker is that the project will be available for free exclusively through Funk Flex's newly launched app via Apple's App Store and Google Play for Android.

Hot 97's infamous DJ wasn't stingy with the new releases either, as the tape is broken into double disk. Among the artists featured are Lil' Wayne, The Lox, Cam'Ron, Fabolous, A$AP Rocky, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Mac Miller, 2 Chainz, Action Bronson, Busta Rhymes, Future, B.o.B, Slaughterhouse, Young Jeezy, Waka Flocka Flame and plenty more.

Dipset 10-Year Anniversary Concert Recap [VIDEO]

March 26, 2013 in News by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266)

As you may or may not have known, last night NYC celebrated the lineage of one of its favorite groups, The Diplomats, who held a 10th anniversary concert for the critically acclaimed Diplomatic Immunity. Fans saw Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freaky Zeeky assemble once again in front of a packed house at Midtown Manhattan's famous B.B. King's.

Attendees went crazy almost immediately as host Funkmaster Flex brought the Harlem conglomerate to the stage to perform a bevy of Dipset and solo hits. Among those were the expected "Dipset Anthem," "Oh Boy," "Santana's Town," "I'm Ready," and "I Really Mean It."

Surprise appearances also made the show that much more memorable, including one from the missing in action J.R. Writer, who ranked high in the minds of Diplomat fans. A short list of special guest outside of the Dips performed as well. Among them was Lloyd Banks and Waka Flocka Flame, both of whom were received well by the crowd.

If you gather anything from the show footage, it's that The Diplomats imprint on Hip-Hop is still felt to this day. Take a trip down memory lane in the visual courtesy of RealTalkNY below, and if that isn't enough, see our list of Dipset's greatest freestyles.

Para One ft. Cam’ron, Irfane & Tekilatex – “Every Little Thing (Remix)” [LISTEN]

March 4, 2013 in News by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz)

In the world of extremely odd collaborations, Killa Cam'Ron gets together with Para One, Ifrane & Tekilatex for this new remix of "Every Little Thing."

Via Para One:

Those who follow Para One and our Marble entourage since the mid 2000′s know how important this is for him and for our extended family of artists. Cam'ron was the number 1 rapper for many of us, and as far as music, poetry, marketing strategies and fashion goes, the mark he left on rap and modern music as a whole is unprecedented and would probably take a whole book to explain. We are still blown away by the fact he accepted to appear on Every Little thing. His verse (which he starts by re-singing the original melody from the chorus in his own Cam'ron words) is a straight-from-the heart-love letter – Cam'ron style – to a very special lady with a “Booty like a mountain”. Apparently it's Valentine's day every day for Killa Cam

The track originally appeared on Para's 2012 LP Passion, and will now be re-released alongside remixes by Girl Unit and Canblaster as an EP on March 18th. Get a listen to the track down after the jump.

The Most Essential Rapper GIFs Ever Made [PHOTOS]

February 26, 2013 in News by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz)

Are you an Internet troll? Do you spend most of your days in front of a computer, mobile phone or tablet talking crap to people you'll never meet?

If you nodded to the previous question, then the answer is yes, you be trollin'. For trolls, there are usually certain things that you want to say that you just cannot find the proper words for. Luckily for you, the Internet gods invented GIFs.

Around since the dawn of (web) time, GIFs express emotions (or emoticons) that you just cannot simply put into words. It is almost a way of saying "if you were in front of me, this is exactly what I would do to you right now."

In most cases, trolling can become taxing and it can get hard for you to find that correct GIF to express what needs to be said. This is what we are here for. As Hip-Hop fans and experts we've seen almost all of it when it comes to expressing yourself in GIF form. So instead of scouring the internet to find what you want to say, we've gathered all of the best Hip-Hop GIFs the kbps kings have given us and brought them here, for you.

Check them all out after the jump and troll responsibly.
